At Wood Park we aim to cater for families and couples on our well-kept family owned and run Park. Our touring caravan pitches are marked out and have 10 amp electrical hook-ups and most have space for your awning. During peak season we only usually take weekly bookings, longer stays eg 10 nights are often available - please email or telephone us with your dates. Shorter stays or weekends breaks are usually available at other times.

We have a select camping area with marked out pitches for a small number of tents who are welcome on the park, with suitably sheltered areas and the option to have an electric hook-up or not (please note for safety reasons you must be fitted with an ELCB/RCD (earth trip) of proprietary make. Home-made or modified extension leads are not acceptable ). We only accept weekly bookings in the school holidays. We do not squeeze tents into any available space as some parks do. During peak season we make available additional pitches for tents (without electric) in our short stay camping field where you can book odd nights.

Completely uncommercialised, the park is maintained to a high standard and landscaped with trees and shrubs to blend with the natural environment. There is a tarmac service road around most of the touring area and there is ample room for children to burn off excess energy in safety.

Our excellent modern toilet/shower block, with hair drying and shaver points, and under-cover washing-up area are central for everyone's convenience and you have full use of all the Park facilities - meet your new friends in our friendly licensed bar and enjoy a drink without having to drink and drive.

Calor gas is available from reception during office hours.

We are sorry but we do not accept advance bookings for motor-homes.

Pets - we regret that we do not allow pets on the touring/camping area during Easter week, Spring Bank Holiday week and from 24 July to 3 September 2010. At other times one small pet only allowed (eg Westie, Yorkie, etc), which must be kept on a lead and not allowed to foul the park grounds. (In the interest of children, we do not allow any variety of bull terrier, labradors, alsatians or other larger breeds of dog).

Annexes on awnings charged at £2 per night extra (limited number of pitches). Please tell us if you have one. Two annexes on one awning are not accepted.

Sorry no gazebos.

Maximum size for tents is 6x5 metres. Larger tents (without electric) can only be accommodated on our short stay field open 24 July - 3 Sept. Please see booking conditions.
